Neighborhood Watch has been around for a while now; Will Ferrell was set to star in it last summer but dropped out, putting the film back in development hell. Now it’s got a new lease on life, with Peter Segal – director of Get Smart and one-time guy to do Shazam! – coming on board.

The high concept premise: A guy moves to a new community and joins his local neighborhood watch only to discover there’s some crazy supernatural shit happening in his ‘hood. Sort of The ‘Burbs meets Ghostbusters, if I had to guess.

That’s it! It’s all the info we have. Segal will likely put his paw prints on the script, so once that’s done maybe they’ll get some talent attached. And we’ll dutifully report that as well.
