I know you have to sell your story in a trailer, but do you have to give away every single beat? That may not be the case in this red band Repo Men trailer, but holy shit does it feel like I have fast forwarded through the film right up to the last ten minutes. Every aspect of the plot appears to have been relentlessly spoiled. Of course maybe it’s all a major bait and switch and I’m only seeing the first act. Doubt it, though.
This is not Repo: The Genetic Opera, which started from a similar organ repo point of view and then turned into glurgh. This one features Jude “Box Office Poison” Law and a whole bunch of blood spatter. I think this seems to be a movie I could enjoy if Universal could refrain from giving away every remaining plot detail.

Since "violent organ repo" is enough to convince me to see a movie, I will skip the trailer. Thanks for the heads up.

Bousmans Repo might have been better if the songs were any good.
I should've listened and not watched that. Why do they keep making trailers like that? As for Bousman's film, there was more wrong with it than the songs, but the songs were truly God awful. I tried hard to like it or at least give it a chance, but I finally had no choice but to turn it off. Definitely one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

This looks pretty bad too. Why the hell is Forrest Whitaker slumming in shit like this? Didn't he win that Idi Amin Oscar only two years ago?
what the fuck has happened to Hollywood's marketing?! Devin nailed it: I just saw practically the entire movie for free! And from MySpace of all places. Now not only do I not have waste $10 at a first run theatre, $2 at the dollar cinemas, or even remotely consider pirating it.
this was an awful trailer. but the movie has to be better than the stupid genetic opera. i dont think ive ever been more openly angry at a movie. i was going to cut the movie some slack for trying something (relatively) fresh and original but then the musical numbers kicked into high gear (im infected by your genetics) and i wanted to punch someone in the face.

I loved Repo! The Genetic Opera, and I've seen Zardoz too. I've also seen Alexander Nevsky if that means anything. However since Gaia and I aren't on speaking terms, I'll not see her propaganda piece, Avatar.
