New Yorkers! It’s been a little while, but we’ve got another early screening lined up for you folks. And it is LEGION.
Yes, the angelic warfare film that you’ve all been waiting for is almost upon us. If you’ve missed the trailer for this one, check it out and long for the best Angel on Angel action since The Prophecy.
After God loses faith in humanity, the archangel Michael (Paul Bettany) is the only one standing between mankind and the apocalypse. This time using angels as the act of Biblical judgment, God’s wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world’s population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers to a small New Mexico diner to protect a young waitress who may be pregnant with Christ in his second coming.
The movie opens on January 22nd but we have a screening on the 21st at a Manhattan theater! To enter, email me by CLICKING HERE and include your full name! We have thirty pairs of tickets to give away, so you’ve got a decent chance at snagging one.
Check legionmovie.com for more on the film.

What The….
I have no idea why this was made or who wants to see it. Sony is pimping it on billboards all over LA though.
God loses faith in humanity? Now? Where the hell was he when the Nazis were around? What about Stalin?
Question is, If God is all knowing and all powerful, can he make a film that actually has a better plot?
the first time i saw the trailer for this i thought it was a joke. a few months later i know it is.
What, is God servicing so many young virgins now that he doesn't remember which one he actually knocked up? Or are Christ and God not talking anymore?
God loses faith in humanity? What a far fetched plot for a movie. Now if you'll excuse me I'm going to go watch some movies with much more realistic plots like Indiana Jones where the hero melts natzis with the power of God, and then I'll check out Lord of the Rings again in which a giant eyeball and his minions battle a bunch of midgets and sentient trees. Pshh! Leigion is so unrealistic.
Heh, the post by "It's a MOVIE" made me laugh. Me, I've been a fan of Paul Bettany ever since his brilliant performance as Charles-the-imaginary-friend in 'Beautiful Mind', so I think I'll be checking this one out. Also, did anyone know that he is the voice of Jarvis-the-computer in Ironman? I Love imdb!
I think this movie looks like dumb fun. Nothing wrong with that. One angel beating up other angels isn't that terrible an idea. Pity most regions NOT the US get shafted when it comes to the release date.
Like the idea of Bettany playing an angel, but why oh why do movies like this always have to be so small minded. An epic struggle for humanity takes place in…a diner? And what is it about angels and New Mexico? Isn't that where 'The Prophecy' took place?
Who here saw the 5 minute red-band trailer that basically gave away the whole film?
I bet there's a twist at the end where the girl is really impregnated with the anti-christ and ol' Bettsy is an evil angel trying to get it born.
Re: comment #9; that would actually be a good twist; would suck if the marketing geniuses spoiled that. At this point, the only thing that will get my ass in the seat will be an endgame showdown between Bettany and Della Reese.
This movie looks better than Avatar.
Cant wait to see it
