I haven’t really been following the production of Toy Story 3 since it’s a cartoon and I’m a grown man, but I have come to understand that Timothy Dalton will be playing a hedgehog in the film. Talk about typecasting! The new toy is named Mr. Pricklepants, and he’s a thespian. On another note, I have never seen a Toy Story movie, but isn't this kid too old to be playing with Toys? Shouldn't there be a Toy Story 4: The Yard Sale?

Really bitching, too, in a bunch of totally unrelated article. I remember it because I kept thinking two things, first: We know what they'll look like, it's fucking Star Trek. Second: What is he, 12?

It's hard to take "Mr. Faraci" seriously, either as a journalist or a film critic, simply because he is neither. He's nothing more than a loud mouth slob given a venue to be a son of a bitch.
Some of us don't read any other film sites. Some of us refuse to go to other sites for a myriad of reasons. Some of us like Devin's articles. So CHUD is one of the only sites I go to during the course of the day. I swear you guys need to take a chill pill. Sure we may disagree with Devin sometimes but you don't have a prick. Lay off the dude. Seriously I wonder how Devin puts up with it. I'd be gone if I had to deal with snivveling kids everytime I posted something that I felt would be read by people who happen to be interested in the goings on of the industry.

Hey, commenter #17, please do not sully our reputations by lumping Devin Faraci in with us! Even we demand that journalists with some film industry experience, a college education, and abilities that don't involve gathering news snippets from other sites.
You know, I somewhat agree with the comments about not blasting the guy on a personal level … but I can also understand them to a point as well. This page regularly advertises for what I guess you could refer to as "fanboy" movies, and then completely rips the films when they come out in the name of "art." I only tune into this page just because it's format is nice enough for me to see the news quickly … I rarely agree with the opinions of the reviewers, and their attempts at humor (Charlton Heston is Soilent Green was one particularly offensive headline). What I believe we have here is a page that looks like a genre page but oh so badly wants to be a page for a serious and thoughtful contemplation of film as art as opposed to entertainment. Nothing wrong with that at all, for the six or seven people into it (and the Oscars), but it is a bait-and-switch (or Macguffin, as they use almost as much as "beats" in their reviews) from genre into elitism. Speaking of the Oscars, why would anyone want to emulate them? Their ratings are going down every year because PEOPLE DON'T CARE about the movies that win! Movies like Batman and Avatar pay the bills, while arrogant filmistas debate personal and moving little movies … which wouldn't bother me so much if they didn't in turn call me or anyone else that enjoys some blockbusters an idiot. Yes, I "get" those little movies … so what? I would rather watch something blow up real good and lots of boobies, and that is JUST as valid as a critic's opinion. Sigh, ranting again.
I do sometimes wish that Devin would make a little note when he's trolling, since he doesn't do it all the time.

#23: The problem is that if he is trolling, he is an asshole. You save that shit for the messageboards, not an article on the front page of the site. A site I'm assuming would like to attract new readers and not lose too many regulars.
