Looking at the box office returns it seems likely that you – yes, you! – didn’t see Wes Anderson’s Fantastic Mr. Fox. That’s a shame because the movie was truly great, and when you discover it on video you’re going to ask yourself why you saw some other silly movie six times and this film none (I really hate this, by the way. I especially hate it when I have a movie on Netflix Watch Instantly queue and then sit on it for six months, watch it and then feel terrible that I’ve lived my life without this awesomeness in it). But hey, maybe it’s not too late and the film is still playing at a dollar theater by you; if so, don’t hesitate! Go see it! It’s delightful. Coraline was much better, both in Stop Motion technical achievement and in story telling. And what happened to all those stories about Wes Anderson not even around for 90% of the making of the movie?
i saw this. made me wish i'd spent my money on seeing avatar again.
it felt like every other wes anderson movie, but similar to life aquatic or darjeeling limited, it just wasn't a story i could relate to or empathize with. ce la vi.

That was cute, but I really don't like the animation style. I'll see the film on DVD, because I like Wes Anderson. And for the record, I haven't seen Avatar either.
ugh! please no more Avatar talk, im a huge fan of Fantastic Mr. Fox, and it's a great Joy to see this clip, movie doesn't work for everybody, but it was hands down the nicest film i saw in theaters all year, i've seen it three times and can't stop smiling through the whole thing. Please go see this, it's worth the price of admission.

Um, didn't this site do a couple of articles about how Anderson had very little to do with this movie ("directed it from France") and the crew was either pissed and/or bewildered about it? All I see now are article talking about "HIS" great movie and not a mention of the other stuff. I guess that just seems a little peculiar to me.
Heeey, watch it Devin, I did see Fantastic Mr. Fox in theaters, and I loved it. While you probably didn't even pay for a ticket, and yet still bitch about it's lack of box office success.
That's great. So glad I caught it in the cinema. Totally his own movie without pissing all over Dahl. I hope he ventures into animation again.

Blame fox…not Avatar. Fox never markets their movies right. When I saw the trailer for this movie it just didnt seem like a movie that was open to a widespread audience. Plus Wes anderson was directing it and most people might have thought it might not have been kid friendly. idk….but I'll check it out on DVD for sure. Just don't blame people for not seeing it just because you place it has the holy grail of movies.
I don't really think their saying "it's the holy grail of movies" as you put it, but that it's a really well-done movie that most folks are bound to enjoy. Also, i do sort of wish that people would get their heads out of their buttocks for long enough to give something else a shot other than Harry Potter, Transformers, or Avatar!
I saw it in the theater…am i cool now? No? Ok, I can live with that.
