There are some things I don’t understand. One of them is why Will Forte is getting a starring role in a movie before Bill Hader. Another is why anybody thinks that the not-terribly-funny MacGruber sketch would make a good full length film. I have friends who insist that the script is amazing, but they probably think the original sketch is funny too.
Anyway, there was a red band trailer yesterday and now there’s a green band that’s a little funnier. I laughed at the final joke here. I really hope this movie is good because I’m going to have to go see it and I’ve already had one Ladies Man in my lifetime.

bill hader has no characters of his own.. he's usually a gameshow host, vincent price, or some extra in the skits.. don't see him in a leading role (not an SNLmovie anyways).. Forte is a laugh inducer with little effort, should be a fun movie 🙂
I've never heard of Will Forte before but judging from that trailer he has about 13,975% less comic screen presence than Val Kilmer. There are jokes in there that could work in the hands of someone like Will Ferrell or Seth Rogen or Val Kilmer but they suck hard coming out of Forte's boring face. He's not just second rate, he's ninth rate. Maybe even tenth. I didn't even nearly laugh at him once.
Wow! How ugly is Val Kilmer now?
re: Hannibal — I'm not inclined to hold in high regard the comedy opinions of someone who's never even heard of Will Forte.
You'd probably dig Forte as much as Hader if he was a part of the Apatow crew and you got invited to sets to hang out with him, fat internet critic. But you secretly knew that, of course.
I don't understand this movie. It wouldn't have been relevant in the 90's.
