MTV has a new image from Tron: Legacy, and unless I miss my guess it’s going to be the new LA billboard for the film. See, Disney has rented a billboard here in town for the next twelve months and they’ll be updating it monthly with a new image. Last month it was a blue lightcycle, so this yellow one is the obvious progression.
This image gives you a better look at the new design of the updated lightcycles. I like all the new Tron designs, although this yellow color… it’s like Andres Serrano chose that.
Tron Legacy opens in December in IMAX, 3D and whatever other gimmicky theatrical display system they come up with by then. Probably DBox at least, right?

A variant on this might be an LA billboard, but "in 30 Dec 2010" is a dead giveaway that this particular design is not for the US – that's not how we format dates.

The Serrano reference was funny and an example of why I am not embarrassed to get my nerd gossip from this site. It doesn't shatter my reality to have geek-shit framed in the context of the larger, non-geek world.
