I feel a lot better about Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps having seen the new teaser trailer and the one sheet to the right. Much better. Last week I did an installment of our films to be excited about list and loaded the article with concerns.
A lot of those are drifting away having seen the flash and meat Oliver Stone and company are bringing to the sequel. At least in this quick teaser trailer.
And Shia looks like he brought his game, which is vital because this only works if he does his best to be compelling when high wattage folks like Frank Langella, Josh Brolin, and Mr. Michael Douglas are doing their thing.
Check it here and try not to laugh at the silly logo for the movie.
Thanks to Brian Henne!

WHAT?! Eli Wallach is in this? I hope he's playing a real SOB.
I love it! It's a great feeling when you see the first trailer for a movie your anticipating and it just gets you even more excited. This is one of those trailers.
"Why don't you start calling me Gordon"
Ultra-excited for thise one.
I always loved the first one, even to the point of when they did the reference in "Hot Shots part deaux" , I cracked up!
This will be the phantom menace of stock market films.
Well, that just sold me on this film. Very nice! Definitely looking forward to it. Loved the cellphone gag.
Perfect timing too.
Lord knows Stone has enough material from the headlines of today to make a great movie. I wonder if he got locked up because Bud Fox testified against him to get his sentence reduced.
UM… YOU GUYZ?!?!? I LAUGHED AT THE SILLY LOGO.
Langella's roar shot looks cool. Heart attack right after? Mulligan's presence makes me want to eat a tin of Altoids and have a bath.
Wait, Eli Wallach is in this?
Grey and Grizzly is Good.
This just piqued my interest for a movie I didn't give a fuck about yesterday. I hope Eli Wallach asks Shia LaBeouf "You know what you are?" and then respectively calls him a son of a bitch. This would likely happen after Gordon gets shot and dies in an unmarked grave. Looking forward to it!
i dunno shia has some big shoes to fill, and this role (unlike 90% of his previous stuff) isn't gonna be him just running around screaming. although he can do that pretty well.
the rip off blues brothers intro kinda makes me mad, otherwise looks good
Does indeed look good. Wasn't personally anticipating this movie at all. And the poster is fantastic; there are so so many bad posters these days, and one of the reasons has to be the elevation of the photoshopper to a higher station than the photographer; this gets the balance about right I'd say.
MD: "Greed is good!"
Shia: nononononono!
Charlie Sheen wasn't exactly a heavyweight. Looks promising.
Well the 1st Film rocked HARD so I have HIGH expectations for the 2nd FILM.
