SXSW has announced their line-up, and the Fantastic Fest midnight portion looks especially strong. One of the films playing in that bloc is A Serbian Film, which is about a former porn star getting caught up in a much more seedy, violent and evil side of the porn industry. It’s a snuff movie movie! (Read my lengthy article on snuff movies right here)

Todd Brown of Twitch has seen the movie and was shocked and appalled and seemed to like it. He says: This is a film that left me feeling dirty and assaulted, a film that will surely spark protest and deservedly so.  But it is also something far more than just exploitation – a factor that makes it all the more powerful and disturbing.
