Upon seeing the opening credit for M. Night Shyamalan on this footage for The Last Airbender, I was taken aback by how long it’s actually been since his name was on a film that I looked forward to seeing. That may change after watching this new trailer for the film, which is over at Yahoo! Movies. On a side note, couldn’t help but notice that Aang’s tattoo lights up into what looks like a downward pointing arrow. I hope he doesn’t have an “I’m With Stupid” tat on the top of his head. The Last Airbender opens July 2nd.
Thanks to Brian for the tip.

So it's now no longer Avatar: The Last Airbender?
The movie was never called Avatar. They wanted to avoid confusion with a certain other film.
The "I'm with stupid" arrow is straight from the Nick anime series. Call it a birthmark that let's everyone know he is the Avatar.
And with that arrow it is right along with the "legacy" of the comics… meaning faithful. Although in the series the tatoos were indeed an arrow and not single tatoos I think it works really well.
After this Trailer it also looks like the first season is the the first movie (fitting) as the princes of the moon is seen and the ambush of the firenation… I am REALLY looking forward to this. the series was GREAT ("The Drill" on the big screen will be awesome). Now, show is Momo and appa… oh, and Oncle Hiro is much to thin…
One of the best things ever this past Super Bowl was how interested people initially seemed at the party I was at, and then M. Night's name popped up and 35 people audibly groaned. The dude's a joke and shouldn't be allowed near a camera anymore.
Ok i know close to nothing about this movie but is the eskimo girl wearing lipstick?
Oh M Night…
Not interested unless I get me some gigantic flying six legged bison. …Otherwise this crap looks like the Mortal Kombat movie.
The avatar series in Nick is better than 99% of all action movies to come out ever. M Night will fuck up the good character stuff from Avatar, but hopefully the action remains on point…
M.Night can really drain the soul out of a scene and his characters.. too many stiff white people talking to each other like theres a monster behind them all the time, don't make any sudden moves and it won't see you.. Was interested that he may break the mold here, but to have him direct martial arts!? his forte has been Stiff with breaks of Stiff. Good thing these guys don't have to move too much and let the elements do the talking.. Whats the twist ending this time? besides getting people to spend twice as many 3Dbucks on one of his movies..
@#6: That's seal blood.
To Nick show was light and funny and didn't take it's self serious. None of that you can say about the trailer.
