It’s like there was a time travel accident in 1993 and an unproduced Alicia Silverstone/Amy Heckerling movie was rocketed 17 years into the future. Heckerling is writing and directing a movie called Vamps, and it’s going to star the person who was probably most victimized by Batman & Robin.
The concept is that two vampire gal pals live it up (sort of) in New York’s nightlife – until one of them falls in love. Yikes.
I like Heckerling, and I don’t really understand what happened to her in the 00s, but it’s hard for me to get my enthusiasm for such a low concept movie. And the fact that Silverstone is starring is simply plain weird.

What happened to Heckerling in the '00s? She made the excellent "I Could Never Be Your Woman," and then spent a few years trying to get it distributed before it unfairly crashed onto DVD. Alas. Still a very fun little movie.
I wouldn't say that Chris O'Donnell escaped that film unscathed either…but at least he's got NCIS now.
BANE was the most victimized person in that film!!!
I guess I can't hate her as a director, since Fast Times, Johnny Dangerously and European Vacation are all amusing '80s fare, but she's dismal as a writer, and nothing else she has directed (that I've seen) has been worth a damn.
Maybe they stole this idea from Brittany Murphy…
They do know a lot of these clubs use ultraviolet lights, right? Ultraviolet effectively = sunlight. So when they get scanned for the stamp to prove entry, hilarity (and fires) would result, just for starters … and then if the club uses UV lights for effects inside light the dance floor – well you know the rest.
God, she was definitely the hottest girl in my teenage fantasies, but god knows how her acting has held up today. A big part (big part) hopes that she's actually a genius actor who proves everyone wrong… in a movie about nightclubbin' vampires who fall in love. ugh
The person most victimised by 'Batman and Robin'? Anyone who sat and watched it. Brain bleach required.
