Hot on the heels of word that Frances
McDormand and John Malkovich have joined the cast of Transformers
3,
Michael Bay has taken to the internet to let us know about another
addition: a new Autobot. And this one is very unique in the Transformers
film
mythology (to the best of my knowledge). The new car: a Ferrari.
This
is unique because until now Bay had been very specific about only
having American cars in Autobot roles (specifically GM cars), so this
Ferrari will be the first foreign hero car. I’m excited to see what kind
of grotesque racist voice work they can get for the car; I also assume
he will be a horny smooth talker.

Bay just wants a free Farrari instead of a Geo Tracker
OMG this is awesome. Tranformers 1&2 are my favorite movies of all time and now they will have an autobot of my favorite car! John Malkovich and Frances Mcdormand are just the icing on an already delicious cake! I am excited about the racism too Devin!!!
They probably lost GM's marketing money so they're no longer tied to GM cars.
Three Oranges, you made me laugh harder than anything I've read all day. Thanks for that. Oh, and fuck Michael Bay.
wondering if it will have a bad Super Mario accent. "It's-a me, an autobot"!!
10 bucks says they'll get Robin Williams to grotesquely voice the Wop car
Look at that, more white people complaining about the "racism" in Transformers 2. I"m sure that if the character was a beat up pick up truck that spoke with a southern accent it would be okay, right? Because stereotyping white people is acceptable, right?
Yay, I have spawned an imitator. People are paying attention to me!
who cares if they stereotype whiteys? i sure as hell dont. and TF2 was terrible inspite of the racist stereotypes, and this is coming from a Bay fanboy. No shit.
Doesn't really matter what kind of car it is, it's STILL going to be fucking impossible to tell who's who when they're all in fightin' robot mode. Speaking of which, maybe they can shave about 15 minutes off the run time of the next flick if we're spared the prolonged, ultra-detailed, close-up transformation sequences. It was cool to see the first couple of times, but we get it by now.
I bet they get one of those douchebags from Jersey Shore to voice him. The Situation's agent is probably all over this.
@ #11 I refuse to acknowledge that there is a person on this earth named "The Situation". Fuck that douchbag….who doesn't exist. The only more stupid that a person with that name is the fact that while everyone here is making jokes that the foreign car will sound like a Super Mario Brother (fucking hilarious #5), I have no doubt in my mind that is exactly what will happen. Damn Bay. Let someone else have a try at a Transformers movie and go make Armeggedon 2: Haley's Bomb-et.
shoulda had Clint Eastwood voice a Gran Torino and have him spit off nothing BUT rascists comments in any scene he's in. you know, something for the grown-ups to enjoy.
cast Roberto Benigni as the Ferrari and this'll be so unbelievably bad I'll just have to go see it!
10 bucks says that will be Hot Rod. In which case should it be voiced by Andy Samberg.
A Ferrari? This has the feel of a bad JERSEY SHORES joke somewhere…
That's a spicy meat-a ball!
The only people that complained about the so-called "racism" in TF2 were pansy ass white kids with white guilt.
Comment #16—That reminds me, there's a "swine flu" line in 2 that was clearly ADR'd into a scene in a meat shop, like Bay thought that having topical references was going to make the movie THAT much cooler or something. The line wasn't funny to begin with, and now long after the swine flu scare, it just seems even MORE meaningless. That said, I could totally see a Jersey Shore joke being slipped in via an Italian stereotype character, and I'm sure that about 6 people will find it high-larious.
