The
CHUD Thinker is a puzzle,
rebus, pictogram, visual riddle, or whatever you want to call
it. Essentially there’s something in each individual picture
— whether an object, person, emotion or action — that when combined
with the other pictures will “sound out” the title of a movie. Sometimes
they’ll be dead-on precise (syllabically speaking), other times a
little more cryptic. But you’ll figure it out — you’re smart.
Started
a few years back by a Sewer Hall Of Famer for a brief run, The
CHUD Thinker will now be
making some semi-regular appearances whenever you need to have your
cortex stimulated and neurons dusted off.

OK…so, that RESIDENT EVIL puzzle was patently impossible. You've got to give us images that are a little more on the nose than that. Right? Just make the element of the photo that you want us to pick up on 25% more obvious. If the puzzle is too difficult to solve then we're going to get uppity or, worse, bored. And you don't want that. Do you? I mean, your readers will only feel good if these problems have realistically attainable solutions…and "heave" is definitely not among the first 267 things that entered my mind upon viewing that picture.
I'll take it under advisement, Velcro. But just so you know, somebody guessed it within five minutes of posting.
And yet someone had solved it within minutes and posted it in the comments. Maybe you're just not very good at these… Then again, I've got no idea about this one, so I'll just shut up. Who the hell's the bird in the 4th picture?
OK again…maybe I'm not a visual thinker. Also, maybe I don't ever loko at the message boards. But Oliver, I like what you do.
Independence Day
Jesus Christ #5 – how did you get "In" from the batman pic? Great work!
Batman: Dead End is the short that still is from. ENDdependence… she might not have even known that. Once you get "dependence day" you can figure out there is an IN on the front of it.
The only "Day" I could think of that woman being is Doris, and that is definitely not Doris Day.
She's Sandra Day O'Connor.
