Metroid: Other M is a horrific title, but it’s a new Metroid game by Team Ninja (of Ninja Gaiden fame) and for that, you should all be excited. Plus, it’s a Wii game! Your console needs the exercise.
They recently released a trailer that focuses on the sexy, sexy gameplay.
The game is played by holding the Wii remote sideways and shown from a third person perspective, looking almost like a 2.5D Metroid game for a bit. Bu as you can see, you can aim the remote towards the screen which will turn things into a first person view, allowing for precision targeting and finding hidden items. You’ll have to switch between the two as the game goes on.
Metroid: Other M hits the Wii June 27th, so get those dustbusters ready for some serious work.

A friend of mine considers himself one of the greatest Metroid fans on Earth, but refuses to play the pinball game. Weirdo.
If the game-play gets good reviews, I will buy a wii for this.
I have no idea what people are always talking about when they say Wii has no great games. I got one at launch and have had a steady stream of games to play since. I'm not pretentious enough to think that "hardcore" games need to have blood and cursing. Metroid and Mario and Zelda all definitely qualify as "hardcore" franchises. Grow up and stop whining.
Ripley…. you're bitching about a complaint no one here is making. Indeed, stop whining.
Don't worry about it, Ripley. The only people that actually care about "harcore" and "casual" games are 13 year old kids.
Nah, what they mean is Wii rarely gets any of the really good multiplatform games the other guys do, and the really fantastic Nintendo games only come out a handful of times a year. If you're lucky. It has nothing to do with "hardcore" this or "casual" that. It's just that if you play games regularly, you miss out on many new ones the Wii doesn't get. It's not a big deal if you have a Wii just for Nintendo's brand games. Which are usually great quality.
Wow, this seems like a near complete waste of the Wii's unique capabilities. It only goes to first person for certain things? Weak…..so when's it come out?
man, how great would this game be if it was made for the 360 or ps3?
played the other metroids, just got sick of only having four or five enemies on screen at a time.
the wii has too many limitations.
Also, there are no good games for the wii.
