It’s almost exactly two months until Jonah Hex comes to theaters and there have been… absolutely zero trailers. And very few official images. Now we have a new one – a full frontal shot of Hex himself – but the general sluggishness of Warner Bros’ marketing effort makes it seem like maybe they don’t expect much from this movie. Especially after a huge chunk of it got reshot at the end of last year. I wonder – is this going to be the next Warner Bros movie where I write a story about the unseen version that never made it to theaters?

Great makeup – looks like a wad of Double Bubble exploded all over Brolin's face. Maybe will be augmented with some CG makeup? Was hoping for more of a Darkman look, but I guess they don't want to go too gross.

I read a script for this that was fucking brutal and awesome. I really hope they don't water it down, it was going to be fantastic. Hmmm.

That little piece or mouth labia is bugging me. If he was such a badass, why doesn't he just do one little slice in that bad boy and he'll be able to open his mouth all the way.
Still disappointed they went the supernatural route with the story. The original comics and the current series are straight westerns that just happen to feature a disfigured protagonist, and that hasn't kept them from being fantastic.
WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOUR FACE? Not to kick a dead horse here but that is some terrible makeup/effects work. Did his skin just drip down and harden like wax? I mean what the fuck the human face does not have skin over that part of the mouth and even if you happened to magically deform yourself like that it would be far preferable to snip that fucking horrible flap off than walk around with it on your face. Suspension of disbelief: RUINED.
Nothing like a supernatural character who looks like John Holmes just blew a load in his face.
I don't get it. If the movie was so horrid that they felt compelled to spend the time and money to do massive reshoots, surely they had some expectations of excellence and hopes for box office success. I mean, they had to believe there was potential for it to rake in the cash, right? Otherwise, why not write it off as a colossal turd before spending even more money to do reshoots only to have it turn out so shitty they still don't want to promote it? And if it is, in fact, still a steaming pile of ponyloaf, why not delay it and do even more retooling? Or is the problem the script and, at this point, there's no way to fix it beyond burning every frame of footage they've got and hire someone halfway competent to come in and write an entirely new script, preferably with a director who's passionate about the project and wants to get it write, working with the writer to ensure a cohesive, compatible vision between writer and director? Oh, forget it. Clearly this movie is fucked.
Uh, haters … that is how he looked in a comic book. "Suspension of disbelief" from a movie based on a comic book? I guess you have problems then. Hopefully you didn't have the same problem with men flying, scaling walls without equipment, little green men, or lazer guns in other movies. Now if this was Kick Ass we were talking about, people would be falling all over themselves to praise what they saw … but this is a movie from a major movie house, so it must suck.
I read the script before they started shooting, and reshoots could do nothing but help, it was TERRIBLE.
