I'm gonna be the 1st to call this a BOMB based on the fact that the mainstream public knows Robert Englund is the title charcater and not Jackei Earl Hayle.. They should've titled this "A Nightmare On Facebook" since this is what this reboot seems aimed at..
It's one thing to come out with another Friday the 13th movie as it's just usually a stuntman behind a hockey mask. With A Nightmare on Elm Street, you're dealing with an actual performance by Robert Englund. That's just not something that can be duplicated or improved upon IMO. I am glad to see that they are releasing the movie as a hard R instead of a neutered PG-13 version as was rumored. But I really don't have any interest in this newfangled version especially consdiering how many set pieces from the original they just chose to replicate in the remake. Pointless.

I liked it! I jumped 5 or 6 times at least! No "Horror" film has made me do that since "It". Not a bad Freddie Flick….but it was not without its CHEESE. 🙂
