I reviewed George Romero’s latest zombie film, Survival of the Dead, last year. I liked it a bunch (read my review here) and I’m glad to see that the folks who are catching it on VOD seem to be agreeing with me. The film will hit theaters at the end of the month but it’s available on your cable system’s VOD channels right now, and I highly recommend it.
Once you’re done enjoying the film, ponder how to get your hands on a copy of this new poster for the film, a huge improvement over the original. I’m sure somebody will be selling this shortly.

I'm baffled at the praise this movie has been receiving. How did you not cringe the entire time? I love Romero, but this film was downright horrid.
AWFUL movie.
Evocative, reminds me of the original Dawn poster. Can't wait to check out the flick.
This movie was not very good. At all. Really badly directed. And completely stale subtext from Romero. Nice poster though.
I don't know how you could like this horrible fucking movie, Devin. It's one of the worst movies I've ever seen and I think I'd beat anyone who tried to put a poster from it on my wall. Romero needs to retire. He's pretty much done at this point.
ALSO: FIX THE FUCKING VERIFICATION SYSTEM!!!
I finally saw this movie and regretted watching it. The piss-poor acting and a silly Hatfields-vs.-McCoys plot were frankly embarassing. Romero needs to go make a movie that doesn't involve zombies because he's out of good ideas.
I actually dig the movie poster, though.
It doesn't even look like a movie poster so much as a cover for the comic adaptation. It's even done by the guy who draws "Walking Dead".
If this piece of shit had come from anyone other than Romero it would have been torn to shreds. The guy is basically making SyFy movies now.
Nice poster but the movie was fucking appalling. Poster is like pourin' perfume on a pig as Roddy Piper would say
The verification system for this site fucking sucks ass, Devin, no offensive, but it's fucking annoying as hell, punching in the fucking numbers and letters as it is and not seeing the white screen, but it just resetting. WHAT THE FUCK I DID RIGHT.
No one is agreeing with you! Talkback on this "film" ranges from "piece of shit" to "worthless piece of shit." This movie is fucking TERRIBLE. And I LOVE the original films. Romero hasn't made a good film in over 20 years. You excoriate Lucas yet give Romero a pass for putting out worse shit than Lucas could possibly dream of? Unreal.
Great poster for a wretched movie. (Verification attempts: 6)
"I'm glad to see that the folks who are catching it on VOD seem to be agreeing with me." Poor Devin is delusional. I'm sure he's still upset that the Times Square bomber wasn't a white person like he hoped.
Nice post, i love you <a href="http://www.flashraiders.com">free web arcade</a>
Better than Diary and about on an even keel with Land. If you're looking for a comeback, look elsewhere. The first hour or so is decent, and then the third act just collapses and feels like a retread of Day of the Dead (right down to how the zombies escape). It is painfully obvious that Romero, like Lucas, need a co-writer these days (Max Brooks? Maybe his old Creepshow buddy, Stephen King?).
