The new trailer for DreamWorks’ Megamind is online over at Yahoo! Movies. Looks pretty funny. Not sure why, but the depictions of villain Megamind and hero Metro Man kind of remind me just a little of that Robot Chicken short where He-Man told Skeletor he needed a good skull f-ing, right before Beast Man got lucky with that axe. Megamind stars Will Ferrell, Tina Fey, Jonah Hill and Brad Pitt and opens on November 5th.

Looks very much like Monsters Vs Aliens. May have potential, but man, what a step down from the almost Pixar-like quality of How To Train Your Dragon.
Wow, that looks completely terrible. When did "mildly amusing" and "somewhat clever" take over from "funny" and "imaginative"?
Unless the trailer is all the bad parts, this closely resembles a pen-and-paper roleplaying session my friends and I had… in the 90's… when we were preteens.
If any 3D studio other than Pixar manages makes a good movie, you can chalk it up to luck. This does not look terribly promising.
This. Somehow some good ones make it through (Cloudy with Meatballs, Dragon), but usually only Pixar in the US and Studio Ghibli make any animated movies that matter.
@#4: Does EVERY animated movie have to "matter" as you say? Can't some just be "pretty good" or "passable"? Yes, Pixar films are great, but at the end of the day, they're all JUST CARTOONS fer cryin' out loud!
