Dominic
Cooper’s one of those up and coming British actors, and he was at
Cannes with his new film, Tamara Drewe (well, it’s really Stephen Frears’
new film. Or Gemma Arterton, since she stars in it. But you get the
point), and when talking with Salon he revealed that he’s been cast as
the young Howard Stark in the upcoming Marvel movie Captain
America: The First Avenger.
Well, maybe he revealed it to them.
There’s no quote in the piece wherein Cooper says he’s playing Stark,
it’s just sort of asserted in the article. Young Howard will almost
certainly be in the film, and I’ve heard that the first Stark Expo could
even be in the movie. Cooper doesn’t look much like John Slattery, who
played Howard in Iron Man 2 (or the first film’s Gerard
Sanders), but he does look like he could be related to Robert Downey Jr.
I’m
kind of on the edge of my seat for more Captain America news.
Info has to begin pouring out soon, right? The movie’s going to start
shooting in a few weeks.

come on, Devin — tell us what you know about the script!
Ugh. The last thing I want to hear anything about is anything Iron Man related. Two completely destroyed the good will that the first surprisingly created.
He's probably the ugliest actor I've ever seen.
He doesn't look anything like John Slattery OR Robert Downey Jr?
