Wasn't there a similar poster showing the same POV for the original Predator movie, making this an homage?

It's not bad, but the lack of hype for this 30 days out is distrurbing, wouldn't you folks say???

I would say. I think it stems from my utter lack of interest.

It's a little reminiscent of the original Predator poster, but Arnold could sell a movie on his own, so you didn't need to show the monster.

The lack of hype might ultimately work in the films favour, although I've found myself having to tell people that a new Predator movie is coming out. I really think this one is going to surprise a lot of people…wishful thinking, of course. Caught the ending of Predator 2 on TV last night. I happen to love that movie, but there's no reason why Predators can't be better.

Damn right on the lack of hype/excitement. This is a new Predator movie! Sans Aliens! Shouldn't we all be giddy about that? But then, there's nothing I've seen that has MADE me feel so. I'm pretty sure I'll see it, and hopefully it surprises, but for me, if it's just MORE Predators (more streamlined ones too, not sure about that, I want 'em bulky and gnarly) in the jungle then it's going to have to do a LOT to impress. At least Predator 2 had the savvy to do something different. Is it, I sometimes wonder, the better movie?

predator 2 is a highly under-rated batshit insane film . Most of the predator mythos was created in that film. Half the reason why this new film exists is because of the 'rules' setup in Pred 2.

HOW CAN YOU NOT BE EXCITED ABOUT LARRY FISHBOURNE WITH SAMURAI SWORDS!??!?! Ahem. Sorry about that. I know the Matrix movies kind of killed that excitement. But, come on..they're predators. RUN!!! GET TO THE CINEMAHHH!!

I read the script a few months ago and it had all the potential of a great sequel. It's not gonna top the Arnold/Ventura power house, but I think this will be the best of the sequels.

Interesting cast, great director, fucking atroicious premise. Still, I haven't completely given up on it.

Predator 2 is unfairly maligned. Sure, there's no Arnold, but it's a pretty damn good movie and can stand on its own.

i agree predator 2 is underrated. i mean, whats actually wrong with it? most of the criticism i've seen of it is simply because it didn't have a beefcake like ahnuld in it.

and as for this movie? i read the script too, thought it was pretty cool. it isn't gonna just be a brainless action movie, there is some layers to it. just depends if it can be pulled off.

and robert rodriguez owns. if you don't like el mariachi, deperado, dusk till dawn or planet terror, then well, you fail.
