The promotion for Resident Evil: Afterlife looks to be kicking it up a notch, with both a new poster (via AICN) and trailer (over at YouTube via Attack of the Show) now out. Wikipedia has the synopsis as:
Resident Evil: Afterlife picks up where the third film ended. Since the events of Resident Evil: Extinction, Alice has been roaming the world searching for any remaining survivors. Alice also comes face to face with her arch-nemesis, Albert Wesker, for the first time in the series. As she enters the ruined Los Angeles, she stumbles onto a base of Umbrella, surrounded by zombies. She then teams up with a group of survivors who had been hiding in Los Angeles since the T-virus outbreak, and helps them to free another group held-up in a prison, among them Claire’s brother, Chris Redfield.
Kind of wondering what happened to the dozens of Alice clones from Extinction. Other than that, not much else to riff on until I see it, except the last line of the trailer was cringe worthy, even for someone who liked the first film and well, saw the other two in the series. But I’m interested to see how the 3D in this looks, which is a rarity for me these days. Resident Evil: Afterlife opens on September 10th.
Thanks to Felix for the tip.

You know, as soon as I saw Milla go out the window when I first saw the trailer, I thought it was pretty sad how badly they were ripping off The Matrix Reloaded. Now they're basing the entire poster campaign on it? Shameless.
That scene from the poster was done better in Matrix Reloaded. Never thought I'd say ANYTHING in matrix reloaded was done well…
looks ridiculously retarded…. maybe like 5 years ago this would have looked like throwaway entertainment like the second one or even the first one.. now it is insulting..
