If you attended last year’s Masters of the Web panel at San Diego Comic Con and wondered why half the thing was given over to the (still coming) Dylan Dog: Dead of Night movie, you’re not alone. Thankfully that won’t be the case at this year’s panel, which not only includes a good group of web-types but has two massive names moderating it:
Roberto Orci and Edgar Wright.
Man, that’s enough to fill every seat in the room, huh?
And there’s more – lucky attendees of the panel will be eligible to win tickets to the exclusive Wrath of Con party (which is so exclusive even Joss Whedon couldn’t get in to it last year), and one person will get a free year of movies at AMC Theaters. And everyone in the room will get to bask in my presence.
The panel is happening on Thursday, July 22nd in Room 32 A&B (which I fear will not be big enough! Consider lining up early!).
Full details, and a list of all the panelists, can be found here.

Does Orci explain why Transformers 2 blew?
So are you going to ask Orci those Star Trek questions we are all waiting for? -What did Nero do for 20 years? Who thought that was a good idea? etc
Also – get the crowd to indicate whether they honestly want Khan in a sequel – although I am a little fearful that there might be a positive response…
The whole reason I asked Devin to be on the Panel was so I also could "bask in his presence". I think I'll bring lotion just in case his luminosity is especially brilliant that day.
Dear Devin,
I have gone to this awesome panel (not blowing smoke, its my favorite. I really appreciated you bringing up the absence of multicultural competence in many media blogs last year) for the last three years, and I want in to the damn party at the hard rock.
When you give out the free tickets for the quiz, please ask the audience to name one of the two actors who have been attacked by an alien, a terminator, and a predator, and I will give you both.
Thank you.
@ Robert #2
Nero and his crew were captured by Klingons. It's in the deleted scenes on the dvd/Bluray. Test audiences were confused so it was cut out.

Because Ehran Krueger and Michael Bay wrote the majority of it.
Btw, I'm no big Orci/Kurtzman superfan or anything, just simply stating the facts.
Well we know one was Bill Paxton…
so you get to see one guy who writes (bad) movies, an amazing writer/director.. and a panel with people who'd sell their soul to be in the movie business!
The GREATEST thing you could do for Geekdom would be to ask Orci (during the panel) to call-out the unbelievably annoying AICN Talkbacker, AsimovLives. Believe me, he'll know whom you are referring to and it may actually get a laugh/response from the crowd.
The other is Lance Henriksen…and that audience would know this.
