There’s a clip from the upcoming DC Universe animated Batman: Under the Red Hood over at YouTube. I’ve enjoyed most of the DC Universe animated flicks so far, and I’m always up for a good Batman yarn, no matter the medium. I didn’t know much about Red Hood until I did a quick bit of research and as soon as one knows that this film is taken from the Batman storylines Under The Hood and A Death In The Family, it ain’t hard to guess who’s under the scarlet headpiece.
Batman: Under the Red Hood stars Bruce Greenwood as Bruce Wayne / Batman, Neil Patrick Harris as Dick Grayson / Nightwing, Jensen Ackles as Red Hood, John DiMaggio as The Joker, Jason Isaacs as Ra’s al Ghul, Wade Williams as Black Mask, Vincent Martella as Jason Todd / Robin (teen), Alexander Martella as Jason Todd / Robin (young), Jim Piddock as Alfred Pennyworth, and Tom Kane as Commissioner James Gordon. It premieres on DVD July 27th.

Hmm… Why are none of the voice actors from the Animated Series returning? Does someone know something I don't?
I would have preferred Jensen as Cap, but, hey, atleast he's finally getting into the superhero genre.
It's…okay. Would have been better with Conroy.
Looks cool. DC should adapt Matt Wagner's Trinity next – Great story, and mass market appeal with the big 3.
Bruce Greenwood rules but Kevin Conroy is the only Batman animated voice I will accept. That and Mark Hamill is the only animated Joker as well. And you know this to be true.
Ugh. Really, is that the Red Hood? It was cool when he was just the -relatively obscure prior to "The Killing Joke"- origin of the Joker. He really shouldn't have any life beyond that background story.
Wow. I'm actually surprised Ackles delivers the pathos of the character. Even with that last line, its not sold as menacing but regretful, which isn't the most obvious choice but nails the character dead-on.
Arkham Asylum was a great game, but what took it to the stratosphere was having the original animated cast do all the voicework.
Kevin Conroy represents Batman to me in more ways than any Keaton, Bale, West, etc. ever will. I guess it's just a generation thing for me. Would like to see more of these animated movies, but only if Conroy comes back. I guess it can be enjoyable.
They've specified in the past that part of the reason they didn't have to Kevin Conroy do voicing when the movies aren't part of the official DCAU continuity, which this isn't since there was never any Jason Todd in the DCAU.
Why do they refuse to use the real voices? Its really irritating. I hope all these projects fail until they get the real VO people.
JEEEESUS christ people, calm down about the voices. Read comment #10. Kevin Conroy will be doing the voice of batman for the rest of his life, give him a break and give other people a shot. The comics this was based on are great, this is going to be a good fucked up batman story.
Thats not deadpool, its jason todd, the second robin, he dies after joker blows him up, and then comes back to life to seek revenge up the name red hood, which use to be the Jokers, villain name
