And while the new teaser trailer doesn’t really have much content, per se – just text and dialogue sound bites – it carries a really interesting, ominous tone.

I was going to write this whole project off as an over glorified TV movie up until Fincher became attached. Now this trailer has me interested. Now I'm nostalgic for Pirates of Silicon Valley.
Yes, but how many takes did it exactly require to get those typing shots? Huh? Fincher? Any thoughts? And did any of the actors eventually want to break a keyboard across Fincher's face?

As excited as I am for this movie, I can't help but think this trailer is going to get unintentional laughs in theaters.

Holy shit. I never thought I'd be excited for a movie about the founding Facebook, even if it were directed by Fincher and written by Sorkin. This has done it, though. For some reason, I'm getting a serious All the President's Men-Parallax View vibe off of this. I wonder what the fuck Zuckerberg thinks of this.
I love comment #4 by Minus: all these mr. non-conformist facebook is "teh so annoying". Get over yourself. Social networking has been the next big thing and Facebook is an amazing networking tool.

They did something like this years ago with a made for TV movie about the start of Microsoft and Apple. Boring as hell, but it turns out, the reason Steve Jobs got cancer was from years and years of acting like an asshole. Guess he should have read the Surgeon General's Warning about being a prick and then looking for public sympathy. Guess that sort of thing catches up with ya.
I'm glad to Jesse Eisenberg making good, while Michael Cera just does the same tired act over and over and over.
With Sorkin writing I wonder if they'll actually sound like college kids?

Worst concept for a movie ever?
This is right out of Christopher Nolans playbook when it comes to teaser trailers. Identical to the dark knight teaser we first got. This is goose bump inspiring.

I don't know guys; I read a bio about the Facebook people and it's a really intriguing story. Plus, some talent behind the camera. I'm thinking this will be pretty great, or at least on level with The Late Shift and Pirates of Silicon Valley and that HBO movie about RJR Nabisco. Plus, it bodes well for the Farmville spec script I'm writing. I wonder if Tom from Myspace will make a cameo.

*sigh* Just spend an evening reading the SUPERB Accidental Billionaires, then spend the next few months thinking how fantastic it is that Fincher and Sorkin have adapted it into what is looking to be a promising film. Because odds are, this is going to be one of the year's best films.
