He's also convinced that Jesus Christ died for your sins and that his trophy wife loves him for his personality. Is this news?

Glen, considering the recent rumours that the James Bond franchise is dead, yes, this is news.

Colonel, the woman in that picture is Barbara Broccoli, Michael G. Wilson's half-sister. Wilson does have a wife and while I'm sure she's a wonderful woman, she's not what you'd call a "trophy wife". As the poster who followed you indicated, yes, this is news of a sort, considering the recent developments with MGM. I won't believe it until the next film is cast and officially in Production. I don't know what his views on Jesus are but I'm sure you'll forgive me for taking your claims with a grain of salt.

I don't get it. Couldn't they sell the rights to Bond and Frodo and make enough to stay afloat?

Colonel sure showed his lack of intelligence, didn't he?? In other news, this IS news. I am a big Bond fan, and I hope they get this taken care of and quickly. The world needs Bond now more than ever!

@The Mutt: They could sell both Bond and The Hobbit to raise cash. But then the value of MGM falls because they've lost their 2 biggest franchises. That's part of MGM's dilemma: it's worth more with Bond (license to print money more) than without. And any new buyer would want that franchise and The Hobbit and pay more for the company. BUT they risk going under if they don't get some cash now.
