If you weren’t aware that Zach Snyder’s Sucker Punch was filled to the brim with attractive women… you’re about to learn real quick.
Much more should be coming to light about Snyder’s “Alice In Wonderland with machine guns” tomorrow when Warner Brother’s holds their panel, but for now we have character posters for the cast, and an interesting new website. While it’s a loud, fun placeholder, the site doesn’t reveal all that much. The posters on the other hand…
The film, which will be released in IMAX on March 25th, 2011, follows Babydoll (the young lady pictured immediately above) as she imagines escape from an impending lobotomy while imprisoned in a 1950’s asylum.

Man, I really hate to be the guy that picks a random association and clings to it, but that last image owes a lot to Kill Bill. Sword? check. Asian setting? check. Girl in a schoolgirl uniform? check. Snow? check.
Yikes. Is this movie going to be half-animated or is that just a photoshop disaster on what is supposed to be Carla Gugino?

Telling us the names of these actresses might prove somewhat helpful. Readers shouldn't have to go to IMDB to find out who is featured on these posters, and the stylized look makes even the recognizable ones hard to identify. Common sense, really.

Michael Wilkenson talked about this at the Costume Designers Panel and referred to the costumes as Zack Snyders takes on the classic anime girl archetypes he seemed pretty excited about the end product and so am I
