For the past few years I’ve participated in a Comic Con panel called Masters of the Web; essentially it’s a bunch of web writers getting up on stage and talking about what we do. And often complaining. This year the panel was put together by AMC Theaters and it featured a whole bunch of folks, and was moderated by some pretty big names – director Edgar Wright and Robert Orci, writer of Transformers and Star Trek.
On the panel with me were Jen Yamato of movies.com, Mike Sampson of JoBlo, George Roush of Latino Review, Ed Douglas of Coming Soon, Erik Davis of Cinematical and Paul Ens, who used to run TheForce.net. AMC has put video of the whole panel online, and you can watch below. They caution that it’s a big file, and you may have to pause it and let the file load up a bit as you watch.

Wow, it's like the Avengers panel only more masturbatory. Masters, huh…y'all are masters of this here domain. Seriously, with the exception of your imaginary girlfriends how many people were in the audience? Just megalomania gone dweeb. Somebody stab me. (And you won't post this.)
Interesting stuff. Devin, you definitely came off as the most knowledgeable and smartest guy on the panel. Orci didn't seem to be doing anything except sitting there and taking a beating from you guys. I would have like to see him talk about his view on the subjectivity of film criticism, how he responds to negative film reviews et.
Also, would have liked to see Drew, one of the Pajiba guys (they're new but I think they're doing a good job so far), and Katy Rich (one of the good female writers) on the panel.
