I missed the panel for The Other Guys at Comic Con, but having seen the movie already I knew it would be hilarious. Sony showed a clip reel, which is now hosted at The Sun, and it’s actually interesting in that many of the jokes in the reel aren’t in the movie. The reel seems to be made up of about 75% alternate takes, which is neat because it gives you an idea of what you’re in for without actually spoiling the gags. I like that. It does give away one of my favorite bits in the movie – the existence of Dirty Mike – but I think it’ll still be funny as hell in context.

People who don't think Anchorman is funny are dead inside.
Great improvs but the back projection or whatever it's called in the driving shots is really, really distracting.
Damn, I could actually hear Mark Whalberg's voice reading that comment.
I gotta say, the previews for this movie haven't made me optimistic, but that's usually a good sign. Ferrell can be very funny, especially in an ensemble or buddy cast. Whalberg can be funny too (The Happening, anyone?)
I'll check it out.

Marky Mark was pretty damned funny in The Departed. Ferrel has more misses than hits, IMHO.. but when he hits, he's friggin hysterical.
