First off, if you don’t know who Greg Nicotero is GET OFF THIS SITE.
Now that the riffraff are gone, get ready to watch the KNB EFX wizard create one of the first zombies that you’ll meet in The Walking Dead.
Much like in the comic, one of Rick’s initial encounters with the living dead is of a woman who apparently fell off her bike and broke a leg, left to rot along the side of the road. Nicotero talks a bit about the design (and holy hell, what a design) before treating you to a time-lapse that shows the final product being created over many hours.

Holy shit, I will watch this show no matter how shitty it might get, just for the zombie designs. Those makeup effects are amazing.
It's really impressive how much work went into casting/designing a zombie that will most likely end up on the screen for maybe a minute.
LOVE the cheesy jazz music: great goofy contrast
Zombie Jazz! That is one jaunty undead tune! And on topic….goddamn do I loves me some Frank Darabont. You know any other director or studio would have gone CGI for this kind of stuff. Love to see some old school FX at work….cant wait for this!
These behind the scenes clips are wonderful and we should all thank misters Darabont & Nicotero for sharing them with us!
It seems this feed doesn't work outside the US. Anyone know if it's on Youtube?
