Skyline garnered some buzz at Comic Con based on the fact that it’s a low-budget, effects-driven science fiction film that seemed to have slipped past everyone’s radar. Set to be released in the fall, it kept a very low-profile until making a splash with footage that Devin commented on in his Comic Con report.
The “giant towering beasts” Devin mentions are conspicuously absent, though there’s a nice view of people getting tractor-beamed into the sky. The teaser only attempts to set a tone and hint at the basic premise, but the scale it sets up is fairly impressive.
Check out the teaser for yourself here.
The film hits on November 12th.

Those last two shots look like someone with a Dyson who just found an ant hill and went to town.
Best article title of the day
At first glance I thought that was a flock of birds in the last two photos!?! But I like these under the radar projects, and this first glimpse of the film already has me interested… just so long as it does not wimp out and go all ID4 on us.
… the whole reason this went "under the radar" is so obviously because it's the second movie from the fucking Strause brothers, whose debut was ONE OF THE WORST MOVIES OF THE LAST DECADE. They obviously had to come up with something impressive looking before announcing "THE NEW MOVIE FROM THE GENIUSES THAT BROUGHT YOU AVPR". Don't be a chump Renn, SFX aside, this will be a piece of shit.
I must be one of the only people who actually enjoyed AVP Requiem. I am looking forward to what this movie might be about. At he very least, it looks interesting.
