Even though there were aspects of the first game that were a bit behind-the-times (why can't my main character talk?!), the first Dragon Age was incredibly fun to play and ridiculously engrossing on the level of role-playing and character building, even for someone who has no affinity for D&D-type fare. I guess this new one is going to be like the Mass Effect 2 of Dragon Age games, which makes me extremely excited. Like more excited than I was to see RotJ on a big screen (that's really excited).

Your character in the main game couldn't talk because there were six origin storylines, each leading to different scenarios and reactions from other characters later on in the game. That's a shit-ton of dialogue to write and record. I can't think of any reason for Hawke not to have a voice actor, though.

That sure did look really pretty. I wonder if they'll make it look more like Mass Effect 2 with a fantasy setting? Also, Alex, you got me real excited by saying it was out in January, but the trailer says March… Typo? Say it ain't so! March is way too far away!
