Chudfan, I don't think Trent Reznor would come out of semi-retirment to do the score for a movie that was a 120 minute puff piece on one of the many facets of our modern condition that encouraged people to stray even futher away from traditional human interaction as well as cause people to pathetically force themselves into the roles of reality celebrities and the like.

Did you even watch the teaser? The lyrics of creep were lined up almost perfectly with the images. The end product was a bunch of people with a very low self image were using facebook and romanicized imagery of what the thought might give them some importance. The children choir just made it seem tragic that this is how people feel the need to express themselves.

TLDR: I think "The Social Network" will be a "Thank you for Smoking" without all the humor.

Never ceases to amaze me how proudly some people wear their lack of imagination and lack of curiosity on their sleeve. It must suck to go through life being so boring and hateful.

Chudfan, if this were a movie about a startup company's rise and the betrayal of its' founders, and the company was called, I don't know, Pellets for Hire, it's still a movie about the success and betrayals behind the monetary and emotional aspects of that success. The fact that the main character and driving force for this company is essentially socially inept and merely wanted to get the better of his peers is actually a pretty interesting character choice to run with in a movie about the cost of success. So no, it's not "just about facebook," you twat.

I think that Chudfan likes to have us all talk about him. He says something nutty and stupid, with lots of intensity, and everyone gets hot and bothered. Much like the insecure bully at your Junior High or the whiny and complaining guy in your office that never does anything productive, just ignore him and he'll go away.

I don't really care about Fincher. I liked Seven, The Game, and Fight Club. I hated Panic Room, found Zodiac to be dull and unfocused, and didn't bother with Buttons (friends warned me off). The "true story" behind Facebook doesn't seem very interesting. In fact, the trailer looks like it's trying to sex the whole thing up a little too much. I'll pass. And based on audience reaction to the trailer…I think a lot of other people will as well.

One simply has to say the word "Fincher" and you're at the keyboard bashing out another tear-stained psycho-ex-girlfriend rant about the director's supposed failures and irrelevance. This from someone who continually boasts about being a "grown up". It's time you sought therapy, friend. These anger issues, wherever they stem from (and it's not Fincher's fault, I guarantee you) should be addressed before you hurt yourself and others anymore than you already have done. for a trailer where everyone is talking really fast, it looks like a boring boring fucking movie.
i am excited to see how micheal cera switches it up in this movie though.
