Robert Rodriguez and Ryan Reynolds are totally into you Deadpool! Seriously. It’s just, like… well, you know,
they’ve got a lot on their plate right now. It’s not your fault,
there’s just these sequels, and promotions to do and stuff. They’ll
totally get around to you.
Or they won’t. Serious doubts have already been cast on Ryan Reynolds’ ability to reprise his passion-superhero role as Green Lantern flirts with a full trilogy, along with his Denzel Washington-partnered Safe House and Bradley Cooper-partnered buddy cop comedy looking to shoot next year. Rodriguez has to cap off his Machete promotions before launching into the fourth Spy Kids
film, which would overlap with Fox’s intended start date. Deadline has a
rather cavalier quote from the director on the subject-
“They
are trying to make a certain window that’s going to be tough because of
Spy Kids… If they push it back, it would be better for me.”
Trying
to find the perfect break in the waves of Reynolds and Rodriguez’s
schedules is going to be a difficult task, if it’s possible at all. Both
are unusually hot commodities right now, and the film may very well
have to more forward without one or both of them if Fox is dedicated to
their start date. Expect more news as contract deadlines and other
immovable production goal-posts draw closer.

I'd rather see a Deadpool movie than get another freaking Spy Kids. And I actually LIKED the first two Spy Kids movies. I just don't think the world is really in need of a fourth. Also… ugh. Buddy cop comedy. Of course, maybe I'm pining for this movie for all the wrong reasons. Who knows what the script is like – maybe it's not very good. Maybe it's not as weird and "out there" as it really should be. Personally, I want a Deadpool movie with Deadpool breaking the fourth wall while the rest of the cast looks at him like he's insane. But I'm not sure Fox is a studio willing to take such a creative risk, so I probably shouldn't hold my breath on that.
Didn't Reynolds already say there was going to be fourth-wall breaking?
I'd rather see a Deadpool movie that didn't involve Fox.

Ryan Reynolds is already the perfect embodiment of Deadpool. Where Wade stars in a gazillion comic books, Ryan stars in a gazillion movies. It's a wonder film studios haven't started cranking out special edition Ryan Reynolds variant posters, even if he's not in their movie.
How about neither? We need more original films and less lame sequels and tedious comic book movies.
And I'm still waiting for Red Sonja. Anyways, Deadpool, while it would be awesome, is probably never going to see the light of day. And frankly, I'm not all that hurt by the news that it probably won't get done. But seriously, Red Sonja, when is that coming out, I saw the teaser posters for it last year. I hope it's not realeased DTV like Solomon Kane was, cos I was kinda looking forward to seeing it on the big screen. Verification attempts: 2

Deadpool is a shitty character who has already been shit in one shitty movie, so people who love him and want to see more clearly have shitty taste.
I don’t think loosing a director that wants to make Spy Kids 4 more than Deadpool is a particularly big loss. Never thought Rodriguez was a particularly good director in general. Reynolds was born to play Deadpool though.
