Even though Thomas Jane’s pipe-swinging comedy Hung, saw a 13% dip in ratings from its first and second season premieres, and was by no means a lock for renewal, the show will live to entertain audiences again. 10 more episodes are in store, with THR presuming that HBO might be considering Hung a comfortable bridge for audiences between the soon-to-conclude Entourage, and whatever replaces it.
It’s important to consider that repeated airings of original programming is HBO’s bread and butter, and that Entourage, one of the company’s flagship shows, was down 25%. Considering all that, Hung isn’t in such a bad place.

Is the 2nd season better than the first? Because while I enjoyed Tom Jane and all his long cock adventures, the pimp character and her aggravating story made me want to hit the fast forward button. More Jane sodomizing desperate women for money, please.
Yes and no. It starts off well enough, especially with Jane getting it on with many women, including the nerdy skinny chick from Spidey 2. But many of the subplots are carried over episode to episode so unless you're watching them continuously, it just feels like they provide no closure to subplots. Then the pimp character's story goes back to aggravating, and…I don't know. They need better writing, that's all I know.
