I know exactly what you’re thinking.
“Wait… there was a Lake Placid 2?”
Indeed there was! In fact, you can read Jason Pollock’s quite frank interview with director David Flores right here, where you’ll learn about an incredible gag that would have indeed made the entire crappy sequel worthwhile. One can only pray that they stole it for the third.
Regardless, the monster crocs have returned to menace a new group of people, including Colin Ferguson, Yancy Butler and even *gasp* Michael Ironside. The official synopsis, which surely doesn’t sound the least bit familiar:
Get ready for a living, feeding nightmare when a swarm of gigantic crocodiles terrorizes a secluded country lake. When local wildlife is brutally mauled and campers are reduced to carcasses, biologist Nathan Bickerman (Colin Ferguson) knows a voracious predator is on the loose. So does a feisty female hunting guide (Yancy Butler) out for her next trophy. As the body count rises, the local sheriff tries to keep things quiet and keep the tourists coming. But when the horrifying, hulking truth emerges, can anyone stop these cold blooded killers before they claim their next victim?
At least the tagline is pretty clever!
Since you’re clearly so excited to see some footage from this one, here’s the unrated trailer. Beware of nudity and bad CGI if you’re at work!

…WOW, not even out yet and it can already be added to the Worst CGI Ever list!
Don't you hate it when the trailer has spoilers?
Is it just me, or does Colin Ferguson have kind of a "budget Tom Jane" thing going on?
I watched this on SciFi 2 weeks ago….err SyFy
This was actually on the Syfy channel a week or so ago. The trailer was better than the movie.
Spoiler alert: it sucks.
Michael Ironside needs another Total Recall/Scanners/The Vagrant role. This shit won't do. QT should hire em'.
The only thing worth while about the first one was Betty White. Man, remember Yancy Butler in Drop Zone, she was so hot back then.
This played on Syfy channel 10 days ago.Not worth a buy .
Well, the CGI is indeed cringe-worthy, but Colin Ferguson's great and Ironside's the man, so yeah, I'll probably see it.
Yeah, this is pretty dreadful. Some of the worst CGI I've seen… even among SyFy movies. Whenever a CG croc shows up on screen, the resolution of the image actually drops! It almost looks like the FX guys sent low-res test shots and the editors just went ahead and cut them in!
Bad CG has made low-budget horror unbearable to watch. These movies used to be fun.
I saw it on SyFy a couple weeks back. I judged it on those standards and thought it was enjoyable. Obviously they didn't show the boobs, though.
Not something I'd go out and buy, unless it was maybe in the $3 bin at Big Lots or something.
@ #3, I love Thomas Jane, but, uh, isn't Thomas Jane the budget Thomas Jane?
Yancy Butler managed to get another role?
