Liam Neeson is set to portray the role of Admiral Shane in the upcoming Battleship, says THR.com’s Heat Vision. Based on the Hasbro board game, the feature, which Peter Berg is
directing, centers around a battle on land, sea and the sky between
earth’s forces and attacking aliens. Neeson joins Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker, Alexander Skarsgard and Rihanna. Kitsch will portray his future son-in-law and a Naval officer, with Decker as the Admiral’s daughter, Skarsgard as the commanding officer and Kitsch’s older brother, and Rihanna as a weapons officer on the USS John Paul Jones.
Neeson has been keeping quite busy of late, with recent roles in Clash of the Titans and the A-Team, and upcoming appearances in both The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader and The Next Three Days.

Fucker. Surely it's natural that after the death of his wife he would want to keep himself busy. I'm sure he grieves in his own way in his own time. In the meantime I'll take all the Liam Neeson I can get. Even if it is in a remake of an 80s film, a remake of a 80s TV show and a film version of a game.

I agree, I'll take all the Neeson I can get. The guy is fucking awesome.
I actually think Taken was so good and did so well because he put a lot of that frustration and sorrow he was feeling on the screen.
Actually, wasn't Taken doing gangbusters at the box-office when the tragedy occurred. If anything, he seems to have lost that spark he had and is now phoning it in with crap like After Life, Clash of the Titans, and The A-Team.
Yet this guy has the balls to call
Star Wars Ep's 2 & 3, "silly."
