Right on the heels of the poster for Drive Angry comes this trailer from Yahoo. And go figure- in it Nicolas Cage does indeed operate a vehicle while ill-tempered. Several, actually- all giant metal muscle cars, the better to road rage with. He also shoots all kinds of ridiculous guns and keeps a straight face while William Fichtner beats people up… quite an achievement.
People hoping for the Cage of Kick-Ass and Bad Lieutenant may be sad to see this looks more like he’s acting in Ghost Rider 2, but this is from the director of My Bloody Valentine 3D, after all.
Drive Angry hits theaters on February 11th, 2011.

Uhhhhhhhh, wow. That looked like utter shit. It reminded me of Thomas Jane's Punisher film and that aint good. It just doesn't look like it was shot well at all.
Hm. Had no idea this had a supernatural bent. Way to give too much shit away again, trailer! Anyways, I love me some Amber Heard and Nikolas RAGE. (Cage, I can take or leave.)
I don't know Cobb, that's looking like some B-movie badass excellence to me. Any movie that allows Cage the room to run away with it (like "Bad Lieutenant" or "Wild at Heart") is bound to be good in that regard. I'm looking forward to this thing.

More forgettable pablum
I'm not sure. Half my brain tells me that is some damn good b-movie awesomeness the other half saying it's another Nic Cage stinker. Could it be that it's both? I'm liking the SHOT in 3D too.
