During Spike’s SCREAM Awards the other night, the almighty James Gunn (Slither, Tromeo and Juliet) premiered the first clip from his new film Super. In it, Rainn Wilson is showing being a champion for the downtrodden, taking care of a line-cutter in a truly heroic way. Check it out.
Remember, Michael Rooker took Rainn Wilson to a gun range to prepare for this film, so it could get even more fun! Super is being released in Spring 2011 by IFC Films.

WOAH! I did not see that coming. I am now officially excited for this movie!
I can't wait for this because Slither totally set the world on fire. It's not like Kick ass and Defendor already did this. No, its not like that at all.
Funny how they won't let me watch this video from the UK, but they'll waste 20 seconds of my time showing me an advert for beer before telling me

Caught this at TIFF last month. It's definitely amusing enough, but doesn't really do anything we haven't already seen before in (as #2 says) Kick-ass or Defendor. Or Blankman.

Rainn Wilson is awesome, and although this concept is certainly played (admittingly), i have to say i'm still looking forward to it. Mostly because Wilson is funny as fuck and i wanna support that office going fuck. and because regular superheros kicking ass, no matter how played it is, still finds a soft part in my heart. Probably because i kick bad guy ass in my spare time….Being ben stiller and all. No foolin.
