Ring Around the Rosie might not have anything to do with the Bubonic Plague, but that’s not stopping Visceral Games from co-opting it for their newest Dead Space 2 trailer (with updated lyrics!):
After the original Dead Space’s Twinkle Twinkle trailer, this one seems less original. Much respect to the vocalist, though, who sounds like she’s cradling a limbless cabbage patch kid in an abandoned refinery.
I may have found the first game a bit repetitive and liberal with jump scares, but the scenes showing Isaac fending off Necromorphs in front of the flickering video displays do look wonderfully atmospheric.
We predict Itsy Bitsy Spider for the third one. Dead Space 2’s creeping right around the corner, arriving in stores on January 25, 2011.

The first one was best played while drunk, and only in one-hour increments. It bombards you with monsters way too much and too often for them to retain any kind of ability to scare the player, but the first few hours are golden.
