There are only a handful of third-party developers who can create genuine excitement by teasing a game announcement. Valve. Blizzard. Bioware. Have a peek at Bioware’s newest project before it’s announced during the Spike Video Game Awards:
An observant Joystiq commenter noticed that the sniper rifle on display looks identical to the M-29 Incisor Rifle from Mass Effect 2. Is that a hint, a mistake, or Bioware throwing chum into the waters to start a nerd frenzy?
I think we can all rule out Jade Empire, but we’re still pulling for an Elcor stealth FPS. Insincere endorsement: watch the Spike VGA awards on December 11th for the big reveal.

Okay, the Elcor joke was great even if only a handful of us will get it. Then again, it's probably the same handful who will bother reading about a Bioware announcement.
Hoping for Mass Effect 3 because that short shot does look slightly like Sheppard, but I doubt it would be announced so soon. At least it's not another Dragon Age, hated that game.
