Earlier this week the poster for Jon Favreau’s Cowboys & Aliens landed, showcasing the backside of star Daniel Craig and his glowing wrist. Today, a bigger promotional weapon appears courtesy of Yahoo: the trailer.
It looks great and shows plenty of Craig, Harrison Ford and Olivia Wilde (who looks wrong now with long hair), and for the first time I’m actually excited about this film. To me it looks like Favreau has taken an iffy title and turned it into something that might be special, but we’ll have to wait until July 29th to find out for sure. In the meantime, enjoy.

Yeah, thought it was going to be more comedic. I'm really glad they're playing it serious. I was going to see it anyway, but now I really want to check it out.
Wow, that looks WAY better than I expected it to be.
It's exciting to see Harrison in a new project like this, Favreau seems to be on his game, and the cast feels right…but the Kurtzman/Orci script makes me nervous. The one decent movie they've been involved with (STAR TREK) succeeded despite their nonsense script, and otherwise their track record is terrible.
It looks great until the title comes up. If it's as serious as it looks than that title doesn't fit at all. On the other hand, with a title like that there's no need to ask what the movie is about. That title says it all. It just doesn't sound right at the end of this brooding trailer.

Daniel Craig looks skinny as fuck – yuk. What the fuck has he done with himself? Does he ever eat? He literally does look like gollum. And I thought he was cool as hell in both bonds – looked great. Poor bastard. And
