On January 14th, we’ll get to see a slimmed-down (of sorts) Seth Rogen punching villains alonsgside Jay Chou in The Green Hornet. In the meantime here’s a new trailer from Sony that was released today, and some of the buzz regarding the footage hasn’t been exactly overwhelming. Luckily, you get to judge for yourself…

This has mediocre written all over it.
Actually, positive buzz is beginning to gain some momentum. I've head numerous reports from screenings where the film went down really well. Colour me pleasantly surprised. The first trailer was a fist to the unprepared anus.
All the negative buzz for this has been overblown. It doesn't look amazing, but then it doesn't look like irredeemable trash either…and just what did one really expect from a comedic Green Hornet movie? Also, it looks A LOT better than Green Lantern. Admit it.
Looks fun. Why the weird negativity? 50 year old Original Green Hornet fans finding it hard to let go? Be like water my friends.
After that french Green Hornet video showed up several years ago I had hopes that a very badass Green Hornet and Kato would eventually get made.
This ain't it.
Good buzz or bad this is not the Green Hornet movie that needed to be made.
I don't mind wisecracks in a 'Green Hornet' movie. I DO mind wisecracks in a 'Green Lantern' movie. Point? This doesn't annoy me nearly as much as the 'Green Lantern' trailer did the other day.
This kinda reminds me of the movie Speed Racer in that the producers decided to go the unrealistic, goofy way with the material and not the darker, more serious tone. It's the difference between Batman & Robin and Batman Begins. They took a gamble going with "goofy" Seth Rogan Hornet and "nobody" Jay Chou instead of say a Jet Li Kato and…well…ANYONE ELSE Hornet!
