After what seems like a decade’s worth of shitty romantic comedies, Matthew McConaughey finally turned back to the legal world for his return to drama-town. The Lincoln Lawyer is based on the 2005 book by Michael Connelly, and it’s about lawyer Mickey Haller who drives around LA in his Lincoln Town Car administering law to the rather shady gangsters/drug dealer clientele. When a new case presents itself, involving a man accused of attempted murder, Haller realizes not everything is as it seems.
So Yahoo has the the trailer and I surprisingly like it. It sports a great supporting cast in Ryan Phillippe, Marisa Tomei, John Leguizamo, William H. Macy… and Michael Paré. Set to release on March 18th, could this be a first-quarter surprise?

Isnt that suspose to be Michael Pena not Michael Pare? Big difference!
Greg, both are in this film. Pena and Pare. Not sure who Pare is playing though.
The Lincoln Lawyer is a fantastic book, only the second Connelly book attempted as a film, the last was Blood Work, which while a pretty good film, was not what it could have been if done properly.
This looks very faithful to the book, and Connelly says himself he loves it and it couldn't have been better casted. All the word I need to hear.
Looks good. As far as Michael Pare's part is concerned, according to IMDB he's playing Detective Kurlen.
