Our pal Andrea, over at BadTaste, sent us along their exclusive look at the international poster for Dylan Dog: Dead of Night,
starring the erstwhile (and future? Yes?) Superman, Brandon
Routh. It’s based on the Italian horror comic created by
Tiziano Sclavi that is set primarily in London, although the film will
be set in New Orleans. Routh plays the titular, paranormal
investigator, who subscribes to the Seth Brundle clothing philosophy of
having one look and sticking with it. Dylan deals with werewolves, vampires, zombies and other purveyors of human snacking.
Dylan Dog: Dead of Night is directed by Kevin Munroe (TMNT). It also stars Taye Diggs, Peter Stormare, Sam Huntington and Anita Briem and is slated to open in March, both here and in Italy. You can click over to BadTaste for more info and also the image below to enlarge.

So, the premise is Dylan's getting blown by a zombie? Interesting.
Dare Devil? If I had seen that movie, I would have thought that it had sucked.
I want this to be a good movie, too. Less out of any attachment to the property, and more out of a steadfast belief that Routh is awesome and needs a good platform from which to launch a career (SUPERMAN being the worst possible platform ever ever, and SCOTT PILGRIM being a big whiff in the popular consciousness).
I dunno. Dylan Dog the comic at its best was, I think, a clever play on horror movie tropes in comic book form. It's like making a movie out of Spaced.
The movie commits the ultimate sin: it is BORING. Sorry, fellow Dylan Dog fans.
