It’s coming. We’re days away from ringing in a new year and, more importantly, the new face of CHUD. The signs and harbingers of the new site, rejuvenated staff, and fresh attitude are already apparent, but there’s still plenty yet to come. One of the new features will be a video podcast- we like to keep up with the times around here and decided it was the right moment to finally bring the The CHUD Show into 2D (we may not stop there though). The audio version of the podcast will certainly continue, but it’s high times that CHUD assault your eyes as well as your ears.
Hopefully long-time listeners will find that The CHUD Show in video form is still everything they know and love, while readers unfamiliar with CHUD’s podcast will discover a whole new world of delights. Episode 0 -or- How Jake Busey Was Made could be considered a beta test for the new CHUD show –there are a ton of experimental features, unpolished chunks, and outright fuck-ups– but it’s an extremely dense and valuable piece of CHUD content that represents a lot of hours spent. You can expect improved audio, prettier footage, uglier faces, and more graphics in Episode 1 and beyond, but Episode 0 is pretty slick already.

I expect this to be just as absurdly funny as the audio version, and equally as impossible to recommend. Recommending this podcast is like recommending your deepest fetish; though the thing itself might give you intense pleasure, you'll be afraid that no one else will understand.
I was entertained, but I could've used more funny, especially from the two guys who aren't Nick Nunziata.
And please don't do the upside-down shot anymore. I had to turn away and just listen when that happened, it hurt too much not to. All the other goofy effects were okay though.

Justin's still the coolest mother fucker around. Video is an okay add, but consistency is still better. Get on a schedule guys. Start easy… a minimum hour podcast every two weeks. 15th and the 30th, every month for a year. C'mon!
Sitting around a table and bullshitting is fun for maybe 2 minutes at a time, and that's with everyone firing on all cylinders. Break it up better. Make the show shorter unless you bring in a guest that people give a damn about- Jackie Earle Haley, Barry Pepper, Colin Firth, the black guy that Nick hanged last Christmas, etc. (that Christmas joke was the only time I laughed during the whole thing- maybe I have issues).

Maybe you's fuckers oughta do some writing beforehand. Have a paper in front of you like a newscaster to keep you guys on point.

fun to listen to but a boring watch.. even with the rundown of the video filters and effects menu -_- . at times looked bored (steve especially -didnt say anything for 10min at one point).. video evidence thrown into discussions was fun (like the busey violin shot) and keeps the viewer more engaged instead tabbing the page to listen while i browse elsewhere.. more effort on editing and it should be a mainstay for the site.
I thought it was great! Very funny, and I thought it was fun to watch. Keep making more. My only gripe is not enough sacrelige.
