You might not know that the director of Chopping Mall (sometimes known as Killbots, one of the campiest and most stupidly entertaining killer robot movies ever made) is still working, but he is! Yes, Jim Wynorski has made quite the career for himself with parody films like The Bare Wench Project, Cleavagefield and Para-Knockers Activity, but he’s going back to his roots with another creature feature.
Undead Brackbrain got its hands on the teaser trailer for Camel Spiders, a giant spider movie about the very real and very terrifying arachnids. They’ve got lots of info about the spiders that will keep you up at night.
Based on actual creatures that for years have tormented our armed forces in the Middle East, these things have invaded the Southwestern deserts of the United States. The Camel Spiders now freely hunt for prey, unafraid of any predator – including man. No place is safe; no one is beyond their paralyzing sting. In the end a small band of hearty fighters are forced to make one last stand against them.
Check it out and hope those muzzle flashes aren’t final.

Wow. Valve are going to be happy about those Headcrab sounds being used in this work of art.
Cool, shiny CG spiders that are nowhere near as scary to look at as the real thing! That said, if I were a camel spider I'd be getting my legal team to look into suing Giger for ripping off my look when he came to do the facehuggers
Holy crap, C. Thomas Howell? All right, I'll see this. Though it looks like a Scifi Original. Then again, it wouldn't surprise me if C. Thomas Howell was doing Scifi originals.
(Fuck you, Syfy.)
C. Thomas Howell is beyond Scifi Originals, he's directing ripoffs for The Asylum
