The first image from X-Men: First Class has leaked, though an official version is reportedly on its way from MSN Movies. We’ll update when it becomes available.
But until then, we’ll analyze and dissect this first look at the Silver Age X-Men, and declare the movie awesome/ruined based on one character banner.
Personally, I like it. They have the retro costumes down, and Michael Fassbender actually seems to be channeling Ian McKellen with his own green-eyed twist. Jennifer Lawrence looks fantastic. January Jones is a living embodiment of Emma Frost anyway, so of course she looks good. The only one who looks a tad goofy is James McAvoy, but come on. Can we really blame the lighting?

Michael Fassbender rocks; I’m sure he will elevate this above that which it deserves. The chicks are also impressive here. Especially the flat-chested one on the extreme right of the photo. Which one is she?
Fassbender is looking pretty badass. He could make McAvoy wet his spandex pants with just one stare. Don’t know what to make of the Star Trek extras. January Jones doesn’t have that kind of cleavage…they’ve inflated her assets.
Alright. So a little more concerned about quality than I was.
Where is Cyclops? God damn, if these X-TYKES movies give Cykes the shaft AGAIN I am going to be PISSED. Doubly pissed, since they don’t have Wolverine to rub in my face every ten seconds.
Gwai Lo, There is apparantly no…Cyclops or Jean Grey. Also, in the comics, wasn’t Havok the, younger brother? It probably would have been better to have used, Christopher Summers (Cyclops’ Dad) in place of either brother. I love the costumes!

Gwai Lo, That was a rumor. It was debunked, as well. Havok does not make any sense to me either. I suppose in the films, Cyclops will be the younger brother.
