Here be possible spoilers. You have been warned.
Devin Faraci over at Badass Digest has landed an intriguing The Dark Knight Rises scoop. It’s not 100% certain, as apparently Christopher Nolan is having a great time feeding out disinformation, but it has a definite ring of logic. There’s too many villains in this movie, and there has to be some way they all tie together, and not cut into their own screentime.
And it is The League of Shadows.
As Faraci hears it, Catwoman starts out as Batman’s foe, but becomes his ally against Talia Al’Ghul and Bane, who may be more than friends in crime. Joseph Gordon Levitt is also a League member, not Nightwing or any Bat-ally that has been hoped for by some fans. (Alberto Falcone, perhaps? Or another of Batman’s large and nasty rogue’s gallery?)
Again, this isn’t 100% certain. Many fans have speculated a similar storyline, so this could simply be Nolan feeding our own words back to us. But as I said above, it has the ring of truth and logic to it. How else can all of these characters fit together in a satisfying and punchable way?

Batman vs Catwoman in the Nolanverse is just silly. After the psychopathic Joker, what kind of threat is Catwoman? Equally silly is the idea they’ll team up. Nolan has already established his Batman is an antisocial loner, so suddenly inviting Selina into his comfy Batcave is just stupid. So I call BS on this “scoop”.
I hope they fuck each other in the suits.
What movies were you watching? Antisocial Loner? Then what has been the purpose of Alred, Gordon, and Dent? hell, Batman seemed to have a pretty good relationship with most of the police force last movie before the end.
Makes sense to me. Just make the EVIL PEOPLE TOWN HALL MEETINGS interesting, let Tom Hardy be the biggest of badasses (hell, he was the ABSOLUTE best thing in his Star Trek movie, though he shared Inception), and have Anne Hathaway in leather as tight as Trinity’s from The Matrix and you’ve got my vote.

Holy CRAP. That was Tom Hardy? Damn. Now I might have to actually watch Nemesis again.
