Breaking New USA has three full-body shots of Ryan Reynolds in his Green Lantern costume. Seriously, if I hadn’t already seen pics of the costume in Entertainment Weekly and in trailers, I would assume these were just pre-production concept art or fan-casting photoshop work. I’m sure once I’m sitting in the theater, immersed in the action of the film, the costume will seem fine. But just staring at these pics, I can’t help but marvel at how cheap and unconvincing the suit looks.

I’ve never really minded the suit & mask, since it’s supposed to be made of energy, or whatnot (I’m woefully undereducated in the ways of Green Lantern), but it sure does make his head look big.
I was highly skeptical of the “organic”-type suit, but seeing it now? It looks amazing and completely convincing. Except… for those weird, webbed toes. Luckily, I doubt that aspect will be on-screen very much.
The eye mask is what mostly pulls me out of things.
Joshua Miller, I think the suit looks…Fantastic! The Eye Mask, is pretty…Cool, to me!
‘Why are you taking off your shoes?’
‘So I don’t break your nose… when I become Green Lantern!’
That the suit is form-fitting to the point that you can see muscle definition and individual toes yet no genitalia seems to imply Hal Jordan has no dick.
would be a pretty crappy suit if his johnson was in plane site and unprotected. Hey, there’s Green Lantern, throw something at his pecker, he’ll go right down.
