I mentioned HERE how Fernando Fro Reza was part of our family now and told you he did a glorious CHUD poster/wallpaper. We unleashed that HERE. But here’s the real meat of our new marriage… Every month for as long as we’re able to keep in keepin’ on, we will be saluting two films a month from history with glorious and beautiful posters that should get your gears turning real nice. What qualifies for a CHUD SALUTES honor? It’s a weird combination. Some of these will be great movies. Some will be horrible movies. Some unsung classics. Some pretty obvious flicks. The end result is that when this man graces them with his eye, they’re all unified in their delightfulness. Our first choice was Midnight Run, and Fernando aced it. Our second choice was The Manitou and it is glorious. Our third was Nighthawks and it was a delight. The fourth one featured not one but TWO amazing posters for The Thing and they were astounding. The fifth was the delightful Jackie Brown. The sixth was the delightful mutant bear romp Prophecy. We followed with The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance.
I am proud to present my eighth selection. An American Werewolf in London, by Fernanzo Fro Reza. One of those perfect horror movies. Definitely one of my top fifteen films of all time. I can watch it any day, and time, and for a variety of reasons. So great. And as always, if you order this off his site (LINK) and mention CHUD.com in the notes… you can pick ANY of his designs that aren’t yet sold out FOR FREE. Two for the price of one. That’s a good ol’ American bargain. Spread the word if you dig it:
An American Werewolf in London
You can get a print of this amazing work here within the next day or so (don’t worry, the money all goes to the artist), and we would love it if you passed the word to friends and foes alike. My next choice is going to be a movie I’m not a huge fan of but one I know Fernando is going to rock.

One of my top fifteen also. Fantastic poster.
This is cool, and I respect the guy’s talent, but let’s face facts here – these are fanart. That’s all. They’re not official posters with any official connection to the productions they promote in any way. Just one artist having fun. Would you frame and/or hang fanart on your walls? Would you pay money for fanart? See, maybe you would. But I’m just saying – I sure wouldn’t.
Am I saying it’s official? That it’s some sort of thing people need to buy? It’s cool stuff and sometimes I find it better than the “real” stuff. Bottom line: it’s there if folks want it. I don’t see the point of this post. I don’t think anyone doesn’t “get” it.
Awesome.
Upon seeing the hand, “I’m sorry I called you a meatloaf Jack” immediately rang through my head.
Does anyone know where on this site that you mention chud.com in the notes so you can get a free print? I went to the link..picked Werewolf print and a second one..went to pay..but no where did it give me a chance to mention chud.com. Any help is appreciated.
Hey Everyone,
Thanks so much for the feedback. even before I began working with Chud I’ve always enjoyed their slant on movie fandom. Chud’s love of genre films, exploitation flicks and their unpretentious approach to cinema is refreshing and fun. it’s been a real privilege to work on these designs.
@ bishop- I never meant to give the impression I’m anything but a movie fan with a wacom pen. Really hope I can change your mind on the joy of having fan art hanging on your wall.
@ Boon Fango- There should be a note section at checkout where you can leave the name of the free print you’d like to receive with your order. If you’re having any trouble at all you can place your order as usual and contact us at frodesignco@gmail.com with your choice of free print and I’ll be sure to include it.
Nick, I have to agree: if it’s a cool poster, well produced, for a movie I love, official or collector doesn’t really matter. I am curious about the legality of it,tho’. Is it OK to create, print and sell this type of “fan art” with credits and logos or do you have to seek permission from the studios?
Regardless of the content, “official” or not, great art is great art. Excellent stuff Fro, based on one of my all=-time faves.
“Would you frame and/or hang fanart on your walls?”
Yes.
“Would you pay money for fanart?”
Yes.
” I’m just saying – I sure wouldn’t.”
Good for you.
